| Reloading is an artful hobby which must be approached from a methodical and scientific attitude. Although this hobby must be taken seriously, this part of the shooting sports can provide you with hours of enjoyment and once started, many shooters regret the fact that they had not begun reloading sooner! So, why take on the new hobby of reloading? Below are the top reasons you really should think about reloading:#1: Save money on ammunition Anyone that shoots frequently knows how expensive ammunition has gotten in the last couple of years. Unless you’re shooting .22 caliber ammunition, you are going to spend some good money on ammunition. By reloading your own ammunition, you can cut your overall ammunition costs substantially! For example: Today, a box of 50 .45 caliber cartridges costs about $32.00. You can reload a box of 50 .45 caliber rounds for about $7.00-8.00. Shooting once a week, and shooting two boxes per trip, that’s a savings of almost $50.00/week! In all reality, rather than saving absolutely huge amounts of money most reloaders shoot more often for much less money. It’s like tripling your ammo budget and your range time. #2: Difficult to find ammunition is always as close as your reloading bench #3: Control over dimensions, ballistics, consistency and quality |
Course Goals: To provide the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to safely, efficiently and effectively reload your own ammunition. Course Topics:
