NRA Home Firearms Safety Class

This is NOT a shooting course. It is however, an easy but important course for anyone who may from time to time come into contact with firearms. It is fun, interesting and really helpful for anyone of any age from 12 years of age and older. The purpose of this course is to introduce the basics principles of firearm safety, it concentrates on gun handling and storage within the home. Guns are neither SAFE nor UNSAFE by themselves. When people practice responsible ownership and use, firearms are more than SAFE. The NRA Home Firearm Safety Course is the basic course that is recommend to anyone unfamiliar with guns or who needs a to learn gun terminology. In this four hour course students will get the NRA’s Home Firearm Safety handbook, pamphlets on safety and terminology and lessons on the rules of safe gun handling, identifying and unloading various firearms, ammunition, cleaning, and storage. Students will also get hands-on experience with the most common types of handguns, rifles and shotguns.The NRA Home Firearm Safety Course is the basic course that is recommend to anyone unfamiliar with guns or who needs a to learn gun terminology. Students will receive feedback on the practical exercises and a course completion certificate. The are no prerequisites for taking this course and the material can be understood by mature people of all ages.
