About ATFS Classes

  • Are training certificates provided for ATFS classes?

We provide certificates for all classes that we teach. If the class is an NRA class you will receive an NRA certificate. If the class is not an NRA class you will receive an ATFS certificate. If the class is another type of class we will provide you a certificate from that certifying authority.

  • Does ATFS offer customized training?

Yes we do. We can custom tailor a training program to suit your particular needs or the particular needs of your organization. Call us and tell us what you need and let us design a training program for you.

  • What about Ammunition Needed for Classes?

All ammunition should be factory manufactured ammunition. For liability purposes we do not allow reloads unless it is made by a licensed remanufacturer. Each class syllabus will tell you how many rounds you should bring with you.

  • What about Meals?

Meals are your responsibility. In all firearms classes with the exception of the TN Handgun Carry Permit class you will have a lunch break so that you may take advantage of the many restraunt facilities near our training location. We have a working lunch in the carry permit class so you are asked to bring your lunch with you. Feel free to bring and enjoy any snacks or drinks you may wish to have during class. Coffee is provided in the classroom throughout all classes and seminars. Don’t forget to bring hydration for the range exercises. This is especially important during the hotter months but still important throughout the year.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

All deposits are non-refundable but if you cancel prior to 48 hours of the class date they may be used anytime within 6 months of the original date of the class. We realize emergencies such as a death in the family or serious injury can crop up at the last minute. If this is actually the case let us know and we will try to work something out with you.

  • Who are the ATFS Instructors?

All ATFS instructors are NRA certified, State of Tennessee Department of Safety certified and are either currently working in law enforcement or active military or are retired from law enforcement or the military.

  • Who trains at ATFS?

Private citizens, campus police forces, police and sheriff’s officers, security officers, operators on federal contracts through DOD and DOS, State Court Security Officers, “doctors, lawyers and Indian chiefs”. In short, citizen or foreign national that can legally purchase a firearm in the United States in need of firearms and/or safety training.
